Background

As an electronics tinkerer in the late 1970s I became intrigued with the idea of home computers. Starting with a Radio Shack Color Computer (16K of RAM memory, a TV for a monitor, and a casssete drive for storage!) I began my long (more than 25 years) involvement with the personal computer.

My first business project was the development of a database management system programmed using a language called Basic from what was then a very small west coast company called Microsoft. Since that time I have continued to develop database systems, using mostly Microsoft technologies, although now they usually are stored on remote hard drives and operate over the Internet.

As someone who came from an electronics background I’ve always been quite comfortable with taking computers apart to fix them so a fair portion of my business has always been in the building/upgrading and repairing of PCs.
